![]() If it is a blind/howl build you don't even need pStr. I can almost guarantee that any Excalibur with more survivability is going to perform better endgame than ones without. Assuming you are doing an EB focus build, the survivability opens up energy independent builds with Rage which synergizes so well with separate exalted weapon modding. The survivability boosts are huge and because of how his skills are designed, having around base power stats is more than enough. The point is for Umbra, which is the focus of this topic, he specifically benefits having all the umbral mods because of the set bonuses. 44% for 16 cap is still less 11% less than 55% from 16 cap (or 8 cap)Transient Fortitude (where duration is easy to account for). And as of this time you can't polarize for these mods (on any other frame in particular) so it is +14% for at most for +10 cap. Which also still doesn't exclude having Power Drift used. so having 14%more is 14%moreīut what is better than having 14% more? Having 36% more. we are talking about frames where you want to max out the power strength. its not about how you can get similar result. and you can bet most frames running intensify allready use power drift. Its like a middle aged father gluing lego pieces together to make giant dioramas that look impressive, but gets upset when his son tries to play with it. Its DE giving players something really cool and unique and ultimately really really strong and then slapping their hands and going "Nuh-uh, you can only have it the way I want it. This? This is just inconvenience for players who have stuck it out in the long term. Those of us who have completed the Sacrifice are between MR18 and MR25, like, don't you think we've earnt a little bit of power creep? Can't we have a little ease of use? Preventing power creep is like giving new players broken mods and limited endo and low initial mod capacity. I understand power creep, and I understand not wanting to give it easily.Īt the same time though. In that case, then its just another heaped disappointment on top of the ending of the Sacrifice quest itself. That also seems to be why the polarity is absent from formatting, they don't want an easy power creep option. ![]() They did that on purpose to make sure its not a simple huge boost to everything. They are designed to be extremely powerful when in the set, but the set is hard to work in. Hate to tell ya, but I'm pretty sure they aren't going to change the umbra mod mechanics. TDLR I don't want to use Umbral Vitality or Fiber but without a way to get Umbra polarities back once removed, I feel forced into using them when I don't want to. We're going to be getting more Umbral mods in the future, quite obviously (Umbral Streamline when?) and their ridiculous capacity cost will mean that we NEED Umbra polarities, or a way to reduce Umbral mod capacity cost if we want to use these mods. I think either of these would be well worth it. So something like Primed Continuity, cost 14, on an Umbra polarity would cost 9 capacity. Likewise, Umbra polarities will cut the cost of Umbra mods by 1/2 like normal, but will also reduce the cost of any other mod by 1/3. For example, an Umbral mod with a cost of 16 placed on a Madurai polarity would only cost 10 capacity instead of the full 16. However, I feel like there is two possible fixes to this issue.Īll Umbral mods have a 1/3 capacity reduction when used on any polarity. I cannot, ever, halve the polarity cost on these ridiculously capacity-expensive mods. On the same note, any of these mods I want to use on other Warframes (Umbral Intensify, for example), I have absolutely no way of adding an Umbra polarity to my other Warframes. But once I remove these Umbra polarities, I can't ever get them back. To make Umbra the Warframe I want, I need to remove these Umbra polarities. In that we can't forma them onto a warframe. For one, he has three Umbra polatities for each of the three Umbral mods. ![]() However, this brings up two issues with the Excal Umbra frame. Hell, I don't even run Redirection on Harrow. I don't need them, with obvious exceptions being Nidus, Inaros, Rhino, Nezha, AKA Frames who use armour as a resource or frames who have no shields. I never use any of the survivability mods, Vitality, Steel Fiber or Redirection. ![]() Umbral Vitality and Umbral Fiber, however, I just. Umbral Intensify is AMAZING and I have already maxed it. So with the release of Excalibur Umbra and the Umbral mod set, I have a real issue.ĭE is forcing us to build Umbra in a very, VERY particular manner. ![]()
